Ahmedabad is one of the most colorful cities of India, being a part of one of the most vibrant states, Gujarat. There are several monuments, temples, mosques, and forts in the city which catch the interest of the local crowd and tourists but one place which is close to the heart of every Amdavadi is Parimal Garden. It is one of the most beautiful gardens in the city and if you are visiting Ahmedabad it must be a part of your itinerary for sure.
About Parimal Garden
There is a circular covered walkway with exposed brick pillars that gives a very rustic feel to the garden. It is a good spot to not just take a stroll but also to stop and take a few candid early morning shots. Several pillars made of red bricks can be seen all over the garden.
There is a beautiful artificial lake in the garden which is covered with gorgeous lotus flowers and you can sit and enjoy its beauty by resting on the wooden and brick benches placed near the lake. You will also find several amateur photographers trying to capture the beauty of the flowers and the lake.
Several tall palm trees lining the pond lend it amazing picturesque quality. This lake is also home to several fishes and turtles and watching them swim away calmly gives a soothing effect. A small walkover bridge is also built over this lake. The covered walkway adjacent to the park looks like a long beautiful pink canopy as it is covered with a dense growth of bright pink bougainvillea flowers.
There are two small fountains in the garden that add to its beauty. If you are lucky, you might be able to spot monkeys and squirrels frolicking on trees and fences in the park. These animals do not disturb the visitors and add to the charm of the garden.
Things to do in Parimal Garden

Right from seesaws to slides to swings, the kids area is flocked with tiny tots having a gala time at the park. Some light gym equipment has also been placed around the park for the adults to exercise on.
If you visit the garden in the early morning hours or evenings, you will find several joggers, walkers and people doing yoga on the lush green lawns. The walking track of the garden is almost 600 meters long. This garden also witnesses several laughter clubs having their meets in the mornings and the loud laughs of the senior citizens fills the air.
The scenic beauty of the garden makes you want to spend several hours here, making it the perfect spot for meditation. Because of the dense greenery and beautiful trees, the park is also a favorite spot for pre-wedding photoshoots. Nature photographers and baby picture photographers flock this garden as well.
